Default My favorite breakfast

I consider this paleo, perfectionists might not.

First I make a big flax cracker for myself:

Flax Cracker

Flax seed meal (I like the golden flax seed meal best)
Some other meal (lately I've been using up my cashew meal, but I've used Lupin flour, peanut flour, almond meal... anything)
Seasonings: Mix of onion, garlic, salt, pepper and (most important to me) cayenne pepper.

Stir dry ingredients, then add enough water to make a thick paste. Spread it out on a silipat and microwave it 1-2 minutes then in 30 second increments until it is crispy.

After it cools just a bit, I slather it with ghee (or butter).

Then I take two hard-steamed eggs and slice them with my egg guillotine and arrange them over the flax cracker, sprinkle with salt or seasonings and eat like pizza.

YUM!

Sounds great! Alas, would not work for someone who does not eat flax or unfermented soy due to the high phytoestrogenic value of them.

Over easy/medium eggs on broiled tomato slices with a little parm is pretty yummy, if a dairy paleo/primal. It's like a deconstructed huevos rancheros...

One doesn't have to use flax. There are other choices like nut meals, peanut flour, or lupine flour.

You can definitely over-do on the flax. I'm feeling it in my gut today.

I love steak tartare! I've never had it for breakfast.

It's funny you should mention steak tartare today -- I put the ingredients on my grocery list to make this weekend. I had it in Florence (Firenze) with sun dried tomatoes, olives and capers. I'm going to try to re-create what I had.

I just had a (cooked) steak for breakfast with Asian red cabbage slaw and a bit of almond/coconut milk hot chocolate. Decadent. I'm working late today.

I love chocolate. I make sausages with chocolate, butter and Tabasco.
