While its not a fat burning activity it is a Free Fatty Acid releasing activity. Without the release of free fatty acids circulating in the body... you won't burn fat. It's this mobilization and release why a lot of people choose to do their cardio following weight training... to burn the FFA's that are circulating.

Hmmm....

I go by protein before a workout and after. After is a protein shake and before is usually and agg or two of some sort. I generally workout in the morning and do not like it on an empty stomach. No real science to back it up, just what I've picked up here and there.

In the evening when I do workout, it is at least an hour after eating.
