Default Winifred introduces herself

Hello there,

My name is Winifred and I live in the Netherlands.
I have always been more on the fatty side than on the slim side. But during the last year the scale was going higher than I ever wanted it to go. So I got very ANGRY with myself.
I like to bake and cook using real food. Therefore I already knew a bit more about food and knew I enjoyed my own cookies and breads too much. More then my body needed.

Following the Atkins guidelines with success so far. Although I really miss fruit and tomatoes. Today it was the first day I had a sort of a blugh feeling about this Induction stuff and I ate an Atkins bar . Why was that in the house anyway?????
No need to cry over spilled milk> I will get on.

I am also a member of the Dutch forum but unfortunatly that is a bit quiet. I therefore decided to join here as well. I hope that is no problem?

Looking forward to learning and reading from you.

Groetjes,
Wendy

Welcome Winifred or Wendy
Big across the pond.

Happy that you are doing so well on Atkins. You don't need to lose much weight though, I would think you could add more vegetables including tomatoes and some berries for variety. Just eliminating the sugar and grains might be enough for your health improvements and sustainable weight loss, like Atkins Phase 2 or OWL.

When you do reach goal you might also consider these more general LC guidelines http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf and use your baking skills to learn new recipes made with almond or coconut flour or flaxmeal and stevia. Many here, explore the Kitchen section below.

All the best,
