Question low-fat atkins

i just got done reading "the wrong way to do atkins" and i saw myself in there. i am trying to do a low-carb & low-fat diet. it has been going well and i have been losing weight, but according to your post i may be sabatoging my diet. i can't say that i totally understand your explanation of why you can't do atkins low-fat - so can you recommend any other reading materiel about the subject.? thanks for the warning, i would hate to set myself back.

In the Introduction Forum under Newbies Questions there is a thread called Hot Links! There are two threads on fat and keeping calories up. That may give a better explanation.

The Wrong Way to do Atkins is verbatim from the new edition of Diet Revolution. I know, bummer! It is weall worth getting the new edition. More information!

karen makes a very valid point here, and in order to follow the atkins woe, you do need to eat fat.

BUT... there are other plans out there that are low carb/ low fat. stillman is the one i can think of off the top of my head, but i'm sure you can find more.
good luck

This makes me wonder why Stillman is out of print and Atkins has been going since the 70's.

Stillman - to me anyway - is for desparate measures. It's very hard to take is seriously as a lifestyle.

I'm not taking pot shots at you Brenda, I'm taking them at Stillman and low-fat Atkins. They may work as a "diet" but not as a WOL. I want to break people out of the dieting mentality and habit. Low fat falls into that category.
