Default How much does your weight fluctuate?

When you are being good and staying on plan, etc....how much does your weight fluctuate in a given week?

I am wanting to try adding in some new foods and maybe a few more carbs, but I don't feel comfortable doing so until my weight is pretty stable. So I need to know what "stable" is. Is a lb or two of fluctuation normal?

Usually 3 pounds either way depending on what I've eaten.

Haha, it's hard to remember the last time I stayed on plan for a week! However, when it's my TOM, I gain between 4-10 lbs in a single week!

I'm with Lisa on this.
I don't allow more than a 3 lb swing in the upwards direction ...ever!
I've seen some allow up to 10 lbs up...but that would freak me out. Thats just way too much weight to gain in maintenance before action is taken!!

According to the NWCR, most allow for 3 lbs.
I think that its a good number to shoot for.

My weight usually fluctuates a couple of pounds up and down during the week. The only time it has gone higher than that has been due to me eating wheat in some form or another.

Also, like Judy and setting aside my recent blip, I do have a cut off point which I will not cross. In my case it's 155, a cushion of 5lb over my goal weight.

On the hcg diet they only allow a 2 pound swing up before you have to take corrective action. I would think 2-3 pounds is reasonable.

i am at the stage just now of starting to maintain . the reason is that i am 14 st 12 lbs and i have a load of excess skin. i have about 30 lbs of skin . so my body weight is well within the ideal - i usually weigh in about 14 st 8 to 14 st 12 -is this normal flux? i dont ever eat carbs just now as i started a few weeks on induction again - just a little worried but i have been told that because i am on my ideal weight and the rest of the weight is jus skin that my body has not got more to lose and thats why my weight will bounce about. can this happen? can this just be due to daily flux of plus or minus up to 5 lbs?
