Question MILK? Atkins Maintenance/OWL

Hello All,
I have been away from this site for years and I have recently decided to give Atkins another go. This time I want to follow OWL and Maintenance not just lose weight only to regain. Anyway, I threw away my book, so i have another on order. I want to know do any of you drink milk? From what I understand Milk isn't really mentioned when it comes to adding dairy back into your diet. How do you all get your calcium other than cheese? Thanks.

Believe it or not, milk is not your best source of calcium in my opinion.

Ditto!
And this is not just an opinion, I'm pretty sure it's been proven that milk is NOT the greatest source of calcium.
I don't believe that milk is good for anyone.

Have you noticed that humans are the only mammals who continue to drink milk after being weaned? Our digestive system is not made to digest milk after the age of about 5 or 6. We actually stop produce the enzymes that we need to digest the milk sugars (lactose) in milk which is needed to digest it and that is why so many people end up with Lactose intolerance problems. There are so many other good sources of calcium: green leafy veggies are the best!

Also, as far as I know we're the only mammals who actually drink the milk of an entirely different species!
