Default Today I ate 121 carbs - trying to break a stall

I read in a thread that you should add more carbs in order to break a stall. Today I ate approximately 121 carbs (bad ones, too, like cake) in order to break a stall. How many pounds do you think this will make me gain? Calories consumed were probably around 1200 or less.

It will be interesting to see the answer. I would bet that you will gain initially, but then maybe lose faster for a few days if you stick to plan on the lower end of the calorie scale.

My guess, anyway, based on some of the other plans that have up days and down days.

My BRM is 1320 so any weight gain should be only water - I THINK. I just hope the cheat will break the stall.

Next morning: I didn't gain weight and I am still in moderate ketosis!

Next day: I have gained two pounds. Could one of the senior members take a look at my menus for the last couple of days and tell me what I did wrong?

Do these "increased carbs" plans to break a stall usually cause a temporary weight gain?

I'm surprised your still in ketosis...hummmm. Yes, that many carbs will make you gain weight, it's how we all gained weight. You did break your stall...

I don't have your body. I don't know how it will respond. I know how mine would....I gain weight and feel like crap. There would not be enough food on the planet to satisfy my hunger. It would take me days of eating LC to feel good and get back into ketosis. There is no way I would do that to myself at this stage.

From my own personal experience, I tend to bump up around a kg if I have a high carb day. 1-3 days of being good later, I can get back to the pre-cheat weight. But that's just me.

Best of luck to you in breaking your stall.
