Default i've slipped :(

my chocolate cravings were just too powerful...i had some chocolate, a cheese sandwich with white bread, some chips (fries) and a breaded turkey breast (which i really didn't enjoy!) i've learned a lesson, besides the chocolate i really didn't enjoy any of it!! back to "normal" tomorrow, i don't feel guilty for what i've eaten, infact i feel BETTER now i've gotten it out of my system, but i will remember that it was crap and not worth it the next time i get a craving...

Now you know....the IDEA of eating crap food is better than the EXPERIENCE of eating it.

Q: Why did you have cravings?

couldn't have said it better myself!

I'm pretty sure that my cravings are due to that lovely time of the month...see i have the implant in my arm and i RARELY get that joy of mother nature visiting me, maybe once every 6 months and it just happened to come this week it makes me feel down and crave stuff i know i shouldn't be having...i guess i thought that if i just gave in then it would help in some strange way...in a way i'm glad i did it and got it out of my system because now i feel more determined than ever to get back on it and carry on, even if i do experiance a gain next monday i'm ok with it

When you read the posts on this forum the one thing the people who have had success have in common is that they have stumbled..Time to move forward and succeed

I aways cut the carbs to the bone if I slip off-plan, to use up the glycogen stores before they turn to fat, and get me back in ketosis more quickly.

Have a better day tomorrow.

I'm fasting today because I slipped this weekend. Was eating cleanly for a few months, too! I feel like I have a fat face and feel oh so icky. But ya know, right back at it, it happens :0) In the old days, I'd keep slipping into oblivion ... but not my new committed self! We can do this, no biggie! Let's keep on keepin' on!

We all slip from time to time. It's human nature. The best thing to do is just put it behind you and move forward with determination. At least something good came out of it, you are aware of how badly it made you feel and it gave you a renewed drive to succeed. Drink lots of water & hang in there, Picky. We're rooting for you!

I hear you, Picky. My issue now is lack of sleep; my body wakes me up after 5–6 hours, and my cravings hit about 5:00 PM. I give myself a treat with a faux chocolate-orange mousse:
  • 8 oz. reg. plain yogurt
  • stevia to taste
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 1/4t cocoa powder
  • 1 T psyllium husks
Mix these together, and then add
  • 1/4 t orange extract
  • 1/2 t vanilla
Mix again and let stand for 5 minutes to thicken.
It's 4 carbs (the carb count for yogurt's misstated in databases, because they count the weight of the lactic acid), a relatively cheap price to stay or get back on track.
