I've noticed that I have been retaining water more in the hot summer, too. I've been 100% on plan and I just seem to sit at the same weight for longer periods of time and sometimes creep up a few pounds as well. In May - I was able to get my wedding ring off my finger (for the first time in years). Today, it is stuck on and won't come off again - even though I'm more than 20 lbs down on the scale since May. I did a search about this issue over lunch -- and enough people have asked the "Do I retain more water in the summer?" question that there must be something to it. The answers I saw to that question were all over the place -- but the most common theme was to drink more water. Someone even provided a formula: Body weight divided by 2 = number of ounces to drink in a day. For me, that is over 11 16oz glasses of water in a day. Yikes! I don't normally drink that much water. Anyway - I think I will try upping the water and see if that helps. If not, we should see some lovely results this fall when things cool down.
