Post New Comer- Very Excited!!!!

Hi,

I was searching the web for some low carb/ hi protein snack ideas. I came across this website and found some very interesting ideas. I just recently (3 weeks) started working out with a personal trainer but am still interested in other ideas. He hasn't given me my meal plan yet but I was curious about the carb intake. What is the maxium amount of carbs you should have if you're dieting? What is considered LOW CARB? Are there any new ideas about in the between snacks. I really would like something that has a some type of flavor to it. I've tried the Pure Protein Bars (Awful). Are there any other protein bars out there that taste pretty good? Any suggestions would be great.

Hi-Protein

Hi and welcome!

Cutting out sugar and obvious high carb foods like potatoes and pasta would be a good first step in improving your health. However, it won't do much to help you lose weight unless you choose one of the specific plans and follow it pretty closely. There are certain things you can do on one plan that you can't do on another - combining them doesn't work.

Have you see our plan summaries? If you click on "Plans" at the top of the page, in the green tool bar, it'll take you there. That will give you a breif idea of the common plans, and you can narrow it down to one that should fit into your lifestyle, goals and philosophy.

Good luck!
