No one's talking about the benefits of being prescribed a ketogenic diet due to illness, etc. I think it's merely a weight related issue for them.

That's not much of an argument for a low carb diet, it's a political attack on liberals. I think it's a ridiculous attack, trying to make it seem inconsistent for one to believe in the effectiveness of low carb diets and at the same time believe in the existence of global warming. But really, it's only peripherally related to low carb dieting.
