Default Snacking vs. not eating enough

I'm happy to say that I'm in week 4 and have noticed a marked decrease in appetite during meals. But what that means is that I feel too full and stop eating before I can consume enough fat or veggies. So if I don't eat snacks, I don't know how to keep up my calories and fat. So what to do? Is snacking really that bad? People say eat when you're hungry and stop when you're not. For me, that appears to mean eating 5-6 times a day, but not much at a time.

Oh, and I LOVE a chicken bullion cube in one cup water with 3-4 tbsp heavy whipping cream. It's a fantastic drink for me, or soup if I add in other stuff. Can I have more than two cubes a day now that I'm out of Induction? Or was the 2-cube limit based on using it as a water substitute? If I'm not subbing water, can I have more?

I eat whenever I get hungry, which includes small snacks throughout the day, and I've been losing pretty steadily, albeit slowly. I know some people say you shouldn't snack, but my opinion is it's only the mindless snacking that's a problem. If my stomach is legitimately telling me to eat, I don't see a problem with eating.

I never feel the need to add anything -- I just eat when I'm hungry which is usually one or two meals a day and usually no snacks. I feel this schedule keeps me from wanting to eat, and because I'm fat-adapted I don't have to worry about lowering my metabolism.

Lynn, in terms of how often to eat, do what works for you. We all tweak our low carb healthy fat woe to work for ourselves ... because we are all such unique beings. There is no right and wrong. It's highly individual.
And yes, you can use more than 2 bouillon cubes per day past Induction. I've never heard of mixing them with heavy whipping cream. I'll have to give that a go

I'm a grazer, too. If you keep losing, don't worry about it.
I do like to keep a window between close to bedtime and lunch, though- keeps my digestive system happier.

When I started out, I at 3 meals a day and snacked, especially a late afternoon snack because I was hungry. I even occasionally had a mid-morning snack. Now, I usually only have coffee w/ cream for breakfast, a regular lunch and dinner. Occasionally, I will have a snack in the afternoon if I get hungry.

I would just go with eat when hungry. Your appetite may change to eat less frequently, but it may not.

I wouldn't worry about it, either. Although, you might want to stop worrying about not getting enough veggies. Eating the fat and protein is the most important part of eating your meal. The veggies are secondary.
