My how time flyes by... 9 years ago I started this thread. Today I was feeling a little threatened and decided to come back and read some of the great things.

My sunshine moment was bying panty hose that size didn't have a Q or words 'Just my Size' on them today.

Second sunshine moment was running into an old bf who recognized my current bf but not me! <gotta luv it!>

I'm glad you revived this thread, it's a great one.

In our living room, we have a couple of big arm chairs. When I sit in one, the girls like to share it with me (thanks!), which means that they are sitting in my lap. When they are sitting with the Nanny in the arm chairs, one will sit beside her, and one will sit on her lap -which I've always been envious of.

Well, last night, while reading a book, one almost 4 year old sat next to me on the chair, and one almost 4 year old sat on my lap. It was a real sunshine moment for me! (Even though it was a REALLY tight fit!)

Casey:

Isn't that the greatest feeling? I mean who would have thought having extra room in a chair would be a WOW moment?

Moment for the week:

OK, so a little witchy.... One of the ladies that we know overheard me say that I was comfortably in a size 14 and while size 12 will fasten, I can't breathe! Since she is a size 16 she countered me saying there was no way I could fit into a size 14 and bet I couldn't get her jeans on. So my friends took up the dare for me (yep, no confidence in myself, but my friends seemed to know this is something I needed). So we go to the bathroom and I put her jeans on.. AND they are very big on me! Needless to say she probably won't talk to me again! No loss there! My friends and I celebrated the victory of the B----!

Life is good!

Funny thing happened to me last week, i.e. my little sunshine moment. A fellow I work with walked past me in the hallway and said, "Dude, I found the weight you lost." I smiled.

Just a little one for me last night. I was looking at myself in the mirror last night and realized that I had a bra extender on my favorite bra. It is old, worn out and doesn't really fit right but it is comfortable. I've had this bra extender on it for a couple of years now. I thought to myself, maybe I don't need this bra extender anymore. So, I pried it off and guess what, my favorite bra now fits me.

It is really old and I'm shrinking pretty quickly so I have a feeling it will be retired soon anyway. lol

Sunshine moments:

1. I can fit the little pink blouse I bought from the goodwill store a few months ago.

2. When I do my floor stretches, I can take my head all the way down to my legs now.

3. I've been getting hit on by this really handsome guy who's decided he wants to be more than a friend to me.

4. As part of my workout today, I did 50 ab lifts with weights.

Whoooo hoooo. My sunshine moment over the weekend was fitting into a size 12 swimsuit! Kinda scary since I haven't been this size for about 35 years!

Two sunshine moments, last sunday I visited my family for sunday dinner and mother's day celebration, and my brother brought his girlfriend along. She's really nice, we get along well, and she already knew about my weight loss efforts. We hadn't seen each other since Christmas, and she was floored by how much I'd lost! Hearing her get all excited and seeing the look on her face after not seeing me for only a month and a half made my day!

And then yesterday at work, some colleague asked me how my diet was going, I said, "Good!", and another lady asked what diet I was on. When I said low carb, the first woman patted the other one on the back, and said, "Here's another one!" The whole lunch turned into diet chat and they marveled over my microwave omelet-in-bowl, and had to try my gruyère cheese (unpasteurized and gorgeous) and garlic olives that I had brought along from my favourite gourmet foods store... The shock on their faces when I stated I'd lost nearly 20 kg was a nova of a sunshine moment.

Another two people noticed and commented today, and I've hit the European version of "onederland", 100 kg exactly!

My Sunshine moment was going to a hair salon to get my hair cut....not worrying about fitting in the seats and feeling out of place....I usually get someone to come to my home to cut my hair. I felt great after my new haircut!

Today, I put on size LARGE scrubs at work, and have been comfortably wearing them all day.

I'm now ex-X-large!
