Default Victoria June get together

Ok, since May didn't work so well for lunch, let's try June.

I am away on June 15 (out of town) and on vacation the week of the 17th (which would mean I wouldn't be in a tearing rush to leave).

Moxie's was good.

Who's in?

Julie

Me, me, me.....ahem, just tuning up.

Any day but the 18th (a Monday) so far -- and looking forward to the vicarious and safely distant enjoyment of others' grad tales!

Sounds like you're in fine voice Jude! And me too on the vicarious and safely distant enjoyment of grad tales.

As always, Tuesdays are out, Wednesdays I'd be late and my dentist appointment is on the 11th (Monday). Other than that, any time after this weekend is free so far except the 21st (our anniversary - I think I should spend it with John!).

Ok, how about the 20th (late) or the 22nd?

Who'dve thought it would be such a challenge to get us together! LOL

Julie

PS Grad dance is Friday!

For me it's distant vicarious living too. DD's grad is at the Empress - on MY grad I wandered though the Empress with a friend and now my DD gets to actually go there.

I never went to my dinner/dance - it was for the "popular crowd" (as in "not me" - fatties not allowed).

On Friday night the class is doing pix at Saxe Point. I can hardly wait - I think I am more excited about it than she is! LOL

It was a great day on Friday at Saxe Point for pix. I'm waiting for DD to upload them onto Facepage or email them to me.

So when's lunch?

Wed the 20th, Moxies - 12:30 suit everyone? I think John should be home by then so I can have the car.

Anny, it's just an examination and x-rays today (this afternoon), then, as I understand it, a follow-up to discuss options before any actual work starts. I can't believe I'm this nervous for just a checkup!!! I always thought I'd get braver as I got older - not the other way around....

Glenda, you're brave to be doing it at all (and you'll do JUST FINE with x-rays and exam)--how about giving yourself a pat on the back! And just remember you're evaluating the dentist as much as s/he is you and you can always go for another opinion.

Thanks for sending all those positive vibes my way - I survived the exam although my heavy-duty gag reflex (I really hate this smilie) meant they had to change the usual method of doing the x-rays. My next appointment is on Friday afternoon for a "deep" cleaning and molds - three hours worth. Thank God this dentist offers IV sedation along with the anaesthetic - that apparently suppresses the gagging as well as the anxiety. After that we have a consultation to discuss options - including affordability and payment options! I feel as if I've opened Pandora's box!!

Anyway, none of those appointments is on the 20th so, as far as I'm concerned, lunch is a go!!
