Question What is the "healthy" % of Sat/Mono/Poly Fats in fitday?

Does anyone know what the "HEALTHY" percentages of Polysaturated, Monosaturated, and Saturated fats would be in fitday? I love the way everything is figured out for you, but being new to this WOE has left me bewildered to what percentage of certain types of fats is considered HEALTHY. I pretty much stick to butter, virgin olive oil and mayo. Now I want to make sure my percentages are okay.

I've read a few links that have been posted about Fats but I still can't find the answer to this question.

There's a bit of info there, but you're right: it doesn't really specify "healthy" levels. I don't think it really matters if you don't have a cholesterol problem - for the most part, your liver sorts out your lipid levels regardless of what you eat. If you do have high cholesterol, it recommends keeping your saturated fat to less than 10% of your total calories.

Of course, that's from the same people who have the food pyrimid upside down. For the other side of the argument:

Default Thanks Kristine!

Very informative. I had my cholesterol and other levels checked before beginning the ATkins diet. Everything was fine. Now that it's almost been 2 months, I should do what he says and go back and have the blood work done again.

I feel great! I just want to be sure I'm not over doing any bad fats, since I get 60 something percent of my calories from them.

Thanks so much for the great info!
