No change today but i am thrilled with the week-- most consistent drops I have had is some time. Also had fun at the Salvation Army store this week -- I only had 2 tops and 2 skirts that were nice enough for "dress up" that actually fit-- neither very nice for the holidays. But I hate to spend money for clothes I plan to shrink out of in the next few months-- so, I compromised and spent a little for "worn again" stuff. I tried on a ton of different things, and in most brands/styles I am in large tops (some mediums fit) and size 12 bottoms (some 10s fit). I ended up with two blouse/jacket type tops-- both mainly black and red, one with gold too and velvet trim, a black velvet skirt, a gold shell to wear the 'velvet ensemble', a white shell to wear under the other jacket (with a plain black skirt or pants that i already have), black heels and a big shiny black bag. It is scandalous how cheap it all ended up, and got lots of compliments today at church--

Discussion of the new outfit/weight loss led to an interesting conversation with a friend's daughter who is home from college-- she is in her last few semesters and is studying dietetics, and was interested in my real life case study for a low-carb-high fat WOE, since she has a pathophysiology instructor who is a strong proponent of cutting carbs and raising fat in the diet, and of course she has had other instruction during her dietetics course work which was the more traditional low fat stuff..... she is a sharp kid and it will be interesting to see where she heads in her future career with the newer info available and the open mind she has.

Yay Paulette on the waterworks! Shouldnt be long before you are back to losing "on the regular"! I hope Ed is feeling better soon.

Cricket it is so sad and concerning when animals become a danger to themselves or other animals or even people... and make it difficult to keep them I hope you guys can figure out a good safe way to keep them apart.

It finally did get COLD here this past week-- 20s--- i was freezing. I wear fuzzy slippers and layer sweatshirts and sometimes even a hat in my house-- once I am outside i am moving around enough I dont usually feel too cold except the tips of my fingers and toes-- but the THOUGHT of going out makes me start to feel cold.... I am SO much colder now that I am smaller.

I saw an interesting video on ketogenic eating by a Dr. who is also an athlete, about his experience being in ketosis for the previous year, and he mentioned increased sensitivity to cold as a side effect that seemed to improve with increasing salt/electrolyte consumption. I take in a fair bit of salt already but I have no idea how my body chemistry measures up-- he was measuring blood levels of everything often, so I wonder if the experience was unique to him, or if it might have any application in general?

Kathy when do you expect word on the job? Tam, I hope things are smoothed out with your aunt--

Hi Barb! Jodi!

Finally got back in this room. Nicely snugged down in the sitting room in the master bedroom area. Forgot I even had a DVD player with the set in there! So comfy and did not have to lay in bed like a slug! Found a new place for the winter time

TAM~~~ see that you popped in to post weight. Hope you are returning home soon.

HIMI~~ that IS a great loss! I don't know about the electrolytes with the coldness.. just on the surface, in the summer and warmer weather, athletes drink in more elctrolytes to counterbalance the sweating. In the winters, IT IS JUST COLD! Athletes have little body fat so naturally FEEL the cold..no insulation. SO, personally, I do not see the correlation. My SIL was a competitior in Iron Man.. ran, skied, biked.. hled and still does, the record in upper NYS..I know he had the same issues and did not do LC.Back then they carbed up. Later on, he also saw the merit in LCbing though. Still. it is food for thought.
Great finds at the Sal.army. good for you and good for them too.
When living in FL, a couple of friends and myself went on the plan and since we were all different sizes, we could swap clothes. It was so great! We just shopped in each others' closets I HAVE got to repack the clothes I want to donate into smaller bags. I cannot even lift these!
Tomorrow is huge running around. Post office, Veterinarian, and feed store. They are in different town and I guess I will put on about 80 miles. Just one "S" loop.
Weather is heading warmer to the 80's over the next few days!! YESSSSSS.. love global warming!
We are taking Jodi out for her birthday dinner a day later on the 3rd so the restart is 4th.

THIS IS THE LAST POST FOR THIS GAME. PLEASE GO TO THE NEW thread for game #33.
