Hi everybody,

I was maybe only 4 pounds overweight when I started looking into low-carb plans but I felt I needed to get my act together in terms of eating healthy since I had been skipping meals and been totally erratic about my eating and I had a few minor health problems.

I started the SP shortly after her first book came out but then stopped because instead of losing weight I was actually putting some on. I think I was insulin sensitive with burned out adrenals, but the concerns of that type were not really addressed in the first book. When the second book came out everything became much clearer to me. I wanted to order testing but I lived in Europe at the time, and apparently there is no way to send blood samples between countries if you are an individual - which I can easily understand in this day in age - and felt that visiting the US to have my blood taken and returning straight away to work was a tad extravagant.

A few months later, when I did have the time to do so, and had been diagnosed with endometriosis - a complaint for which hormonal balance is crucial - I visited the site again and saw the testing option had been cancelled. I have been checking regularly but there is still nothing, and over the telephone they didn't give me any prospective date when they might restart. Has anybody any more information on this?

Thanks

Hi Barnagirl. You sound alot like me when I started, except that I gained a TON of weight after reading her first book. I started to feel much better after I followed her insulin sensitive, burned out adrenals program in SPII. I also started losing some of the weight very slowly .

I don't know when she will start testing again, sorry I can't help you out there. I do have a friend that has many issues and went to a naturopathic doctor. The naturopath did a saliva test on my friend. She took some other tests too and told her that she is borderline diabetic and has very burned out adrenal glands. So if you would be open to it, you could maybe check around for a homeopath who would do the saliva testing while you're waiting for Schwarzbein to start up again. Hope this helps. I've never had testing done so I don't know much about it.

Hi Jende,

thank you for the advice. I am going to try and find a practitioner that is familiar with the saliva adrenal test In case any of you knows something about Dr Schwarzbein's future plans regarding testing my question still stands
