Question ratios on Montignac - Pls Help

Hello,

I'm still flipping around in the book, but think that I basically understand this plan (I have it on loan from Library to decide whether or not I should buy it or not) . Do those of you who are eating this way stick to these ratios mentioned in the Eat Yourself Slim Version - 31%protein -32%fat -37%carb.

Sorry to sound like such a dummy with all my questions but I made the mistake of borrowing too many different diet books yesterday and they all seem so complex in their own way that I get more confused by the minute.

Do you all basically stick to 1 carb meal and 2 protein/low gI veg.?

to be honest, i don't count carbs, fat or anything else - thats one of the nice things about this plan.

i don't plan my ratios at all.

i just stick to his recipes and go from there!

sorry to be rather vague.

i STRONGLY suggest looking at the "New Glucose Revolution" book, its a lot less confusing than Montiganc

my 2 cents, for what it is worth!

Thanks Spang

I'll see if I can get my hands on a copy. I really like the sound of this plan, I just wish he had the book a bit more organized, I feel l'm flipping around all through it to find out this or that. But every time I look at it I feel like I'm understanding more of it. Still a bit confused though as to how many meals should be carb based as opposed to protein based.

The examples of "exeption meals" in phase 2 seem to me to be very similar to the concept of the "reward meal" in the CAD/CALP plans except of course they are not to be a daily occurence.

Thanks again, I appreciate your $0.02 very much.

I totally understand the confusion with the Montignac books. I'm English and living in the US, and in a certain way I think the books are quite European centric as well.

It took a good 4 months of working with the plan before I got fully comfortable with it - which is why I suggested the other book that I am reading now - as it seems to lay things out in a much better way. Maybe it doesn't suffer from translation problems?!

Hope it helps - and welcome to the world of Montiganc!

Spang
