Question Questions about Introduction to Adkins

I have just finished reading the introduction phase of the Adkins diet. I am putting my husband on this (change of lifestyle) to lose about 50lbs.
But I do have a few questions concerning this.......

Is salad unlimited?
What snacks are good to eat?

Please help I am just starting out and need some advice.
Thanks in advance

Default induction

Salad should be limited. If you go to the pages(I don't have my book with me so I can't tell you what pages, but it's in the Induction chapter)that give the info on veggies, it will specify how much you can have. During Induction salads are normally limited to 1 cup loosely packed. Then you can add in other salad veggies as listed in the book as well. It's not a lot to begin with.

For snacks, I have always kept protein on hand during Induction. Keep hard boiled eggs on hand and either have them plain or make up egg salad with mayo and mustard. Or I would make up hamburgers or ground turkey burgers ahead of time and have one when I felt hungry. Induction is the toughest, but it's worth hanging in there!

To be exact:

3 cups of salad a day

OR

2 cups of salad and 2/3 cups of cooked veggies.

In the induction table is a list of legal salad fixins and veggies.
