Default Weekends are tough!!!!!!!!

This weekend was really tough. The cravings were bad, and I actually had some twizzlers at the movies. TOM is due this week, and i am sure this had something to do with it. My husband & son were eating all kinds of junk food, in front of me. I know, poor me. On a happier note my blood pressure is coming down. Can someone send a little sun to Maine? I NEED SOME SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how about this? my hubby hates pizza and will eat it on occasion but prefers not to. Friday he asked me about getting pizza for supper. i thought i have done good for 6 days no cheats and if we get pizza i will definately eat it. i love it. but we decided on fish and chicken. thank goodness.

the weekends are hard on me too. where ever we go i just remove the bread or other carbs. burgers are easy to eat. but what do ya do with pizza? you can eat a whole pizza just eating the toppings and then you still have the carbs from the sweet tomato base.

better go i just thought id share my story. happy carbing!

Lightbulb Sunshine Has Arrived!

Hi! I can relate!

When I go to the movies I stick a bottled water in my purse and ask for a cup of ice. I also take with me some sugar free candy like butter toffee or peppermint. Sometimes I just have to cheat though! You will too! It's the only way you will ever get through losing weight and keeping sane! I allow myself one cheat per week. If I know I'm going to the movies on Saturday night I save my cheat for then. I have a Somersized breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner and at the movies I still drink my water but allow myself 'some' popcorn or a piece of candy. Not a whole candy bar or a large bag of popcorn and a large coke!

When you first being the plan try to stay legal as long as you can like for a few weeks or more until your body is used to not having the sugar. Then if you incorporate a cheat here and there you should be okay. So long as you go right back at the next meal to SS!

Good luck! You can get past the feeling! Also, try Dentyne or Trident sugar free gums. The cinnamon does it for my sweet tooth! Or a tic tac isn't so bad either- The orange kind!

Weekends are hard for me because I eat at such wierd times. During the week I am so scheduled. Sometimes I forget to eat on the weekends and somtimes I eat too much because I waited so long that I am starving. Weekends are HARD!

Weekends are my downfall. Every weekend. My downfall.

I eat nuts and olives. I drink lots of alcohol. Meals aren't usually my problem, surprisingly. It's the snacks and the booze. I like to relax on the weekends, and this is how I've always done it, so it's hard to change. Sigh.

Mainly, the best I can do is stick to low carb cocktails or beer. But the nuts and olives get me everytime.

Peace!

Default Yep, weekends are a bear!

But I PLAN to splurge and make at least one Somersized fancy or fun meal for us so we have something special AND legal. This weekend it will be SS cheese cake. Next weekend it will be legal pizza. My downfall is usually portions and combining on the weekends, or sometimes going to other people's houses and giving in to temptations they offer.

I always take a legal snack to the movies with me. Hey, there are even SF twizzlers ya know! I haven't tried them but I've seen them at Wal Mart. I also eat a good sized meal first so I am not so apt to munch all the way through the movie. It's hard when everybody else is crunching away around you though.

Hang in there, you can do this!
