Default Flavored Protein Powder

Is there any low carb flavored protein powder that uses stevia or other natural sweetener? My husband has been using BeachBody shakes, and wants to continue using shakes. They have all-natural ingredients, but they're about 17 carbs per shake.

I looked at Isopure, but saw that it's flavored with Sucralose. Any other options out there?

What about using an unflavored one and then adding your own flavoring, so you control what goes into it?

ideas: unsweetened cocoa powder and sweetener of choice (like erythritol or monk fruit or what have you) for traditional chocolate. could add cinnamon for a mexican twist.

pumpkin, sweetener, cinnamon and cloves for pumpkin spice

matcha green tea powder, vanilla extract and sweetener for green tea latte

you could also add all natural almond butter and sweetener with a pinch of salt and a little vanilla

personally, i avoid protein powders these days (they spike my BG), but i love making protein shakes with pastuerized egg whites. myabe he would go for something like that? my favorite is with ice cubes made from very string coffee, cream, sweetener, ice whites, and sometimes cocoa or a flavor extract like rasberry. blend it up and voila- it is like a frappucino but healthy.

Your ideas sound good. I wonder if powdered egg whites would work. I think they are less expensive than the refrigerated kind.

That might work. I'll see if he's willing to experiment!

^^if he is apprehensive about eggwhites, tell him you can't taste them. and they are perfectly safe, since they are pastuerized (they are not "raw" if you buy the carton of just whites).

good luck!

I found this online:

Back in the day, I used protein powder for shakes but I haven't ventured into low-carb options yet. It's a nice convenient quick addition to any meal ... or a meal on its own.
