Anyone doing Wini Linguvic's Lean, Long & Strong?
Just wondering. It's a weight training book I got a while back, and I started it this week...it pairs strength moves with complementary stretches right after, as part of each set. I started with the Basics program with the Fat Burning (total body) emphasis (there are 4 six-week programs with 3 different emphases for each). My abs and legs are still sore from Monday and Tuesday, and today I've got upper body. Tomorrow is core again, then lower body on Monday, and so on. For cardio, she suggests walking/running, biking, or swimming, 2 or 3 days a week, for at least 20 minutes (and according to her interval training suggestions). I'm doing Leslie Sansone (indoor "walking") and Island Girl (hula dance) videos right now, 4 or 5 times a week. I have Yoga Booty Ballet, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, a few bellydancing DVDs, and a bunch of other stuff, but I'm keeping it simple for now. I was doing Turbo Fire last winter/spring and it was just way too demanding and time consuming. Maybe after I get some of this weight off...doing all tthat intense work without changing my diet...I got stronger but not smaller!
But yeah, I digress...I'm doing Lean, Long & Strong for at least 18 weeks (Basics, Intermediate, Advanced...I'm probably not going to do the Express schedule), probably longer, because I think I'll end up doing Basics twice for sure. Once I'm stronger I might do Joyce Vedral stuff, but she's too tough for me right now...I'm fat and recovering from tendinitis!
Okay...I'm done. Heh.
