Default Breast pain

I know our WOE helps with a lot of health problems, but breast pain?

Well, I have had pretty painful breasts for years. My doctor kept telling me to cut out all caffeine, and I did try to cut back -- but it was still there.

But, for some reason, the breast pain is gone. Completely gone. What is the process of a ketogenic diet that would make this happen? Lowered inflammation from not eating wheat? I'm not complaining, mind you, but I'm just curious.

By the way, I'm back on 2-3 cups of coffee per day, and an occasional bite of dark chocolate -- so definitely didn't give up caffeine.

Has your hormonal state changed recently?

Mine actually hurt worse in menopause and I looked and found that it isn't uncommon.

It did seem to get worse during peri-menopause, but was fairly consistent through menopause. I can't think of any changing hormonal state -- everything seems the same.

If you are through menopause the pain would stop, at least it did for me. Coincidence maybe?

I had a lot of breast pain premenstrually when I was younger. Now that am nearing menopause, it is getting better. Breast pain, for me, is definitely related to hormones. I do think low carb has affected my female hormones. I went six months without a period and had one after two weeks on this way of eating. I feel sure it was related. Based on all this, it would not surprise me if this diet is reducing your pain.
