Default What can be subbed for cream soups in cooking???

OK, I like to make roast and steak and gravy. I use mushroom soup in both. What could I use to make it taste as good with less carbs??

Try cream, mushrooms, a little white wine, and seasonings. I don't know particularly what seasonings you would use, but the cream makes a great "cream of" anything, and the wine will give it a little tang.

You might want to try this: Saute onions and garlic with your mushrooms, Add some beef and chicken flavor ( I use the paste variety and keep it to a minimum) and heavy cream. This is the basis for a great mushroom soup that could easily be a gravy or sauce. The wine Debpenny suggests is a great idea too.
I'm hundry now.
