Default Babes Exercise Club

I thought maybe it would be good to have a daily check in for exercise. So let's see if anyone is interested.

Sunday I ran a mile with my hyper doggy, it took us 9:40 min. My goal is to complete a mile in 8 min, and to be able to run a 5K(3.1 miles) under 28 min by 10/1/05.

Wednesday I'm starting a 2 week exercise program(like a bootcamp) that really kicks my butt. It's the NY Body Plan by David Kirsch, I did the program in January (the crazy low cal food part too) and got down to 144. But the food part of that diet was really too tough, so I'm going to continue w/ SB and just do the exercise portion.

What are your exercise goals?

i'm in! my husband and i have a membership to the gym, and we have not been using it lately. would really like to get back on the wagon. right now i'm trying to at least make in in for cardio 3x a week, and circuit training 2x-4x. remodeling my house though, and that really takes it out of you. making the effort to get to the gym on the days i'm not swinging a hammer for hours is difficult, cuz i just wanna chill when i'm not renovating, but i really need the cardio. will be great to check in. how do you self-talk to convince yourself when you're dawg tired?

Okay, I'm in. I need to kick things up a notch by exercising. I'm not going to try and exercise I'm just going to do it. Today it is June 14, and I walked 1.11 miles in 20:44. I burned 44 fat calories and 142 regular calories according to my treadmill. I also own a bowflex and need to start using that instead of using it for decoration Well keep up the great work! I cant wait to start to see inches come off as well as pounds!!!

I had to edit my post because I worked out some more Yay!!
Bowflex exercises-
Seated abdominal crunch-35 pounds on each side of power rods 50 reps
Crossover wide pull down-35 #'s, 20 reps
Bench press-40#'s, 20 reps
Decline Bench press 40#'s, 20 reps
Incline Bench pres-40#'s 20 reps

Its not much but its something

Hey there! DH and I have a membership to the "Y" we were using religiously there for a while- we haven't been in a month and plan to start back this coming weekend. Typically we both do elliptical. I'd love to start weights too- but have to admit, I"m intimidated by them!!

Hey, It's nice to see so many of you ladies are exercising, GOOD FOR YOU!

I wish we had a bowflex, those machines look great!

I ran 1 mile on Monday with the dog, in 9:47 min, not as fast as I'd hoped but it was really humid!

Tuesday dog & I ran/walked the mile, so I didn't really time us.

Wednesday, I'm doing the bootcamp workout. Which is 45 min of cardio sculpt, and 45 min of cardio (I think I'm going to go to the gym, just to get a different view). Plus i think it might rain tonight.

Later girls, Keep it up!

today as soon as i hit the door i dropped my lunch box and purse grabbed my water bottle and went upstairs to my crosstrainer. its so cool , its kinda like riding a bike standing up but your arms go back and forth also. i did 20 mins.thought i was gonna die!!! i did a few cool down streches. tommrow we take the kids to the zoo on a field trip. chasing 20 four year old should be a work out in its self!!! its a lot of up hill walking. so i may not do my crosstrainer tommrow... depends on how i feel when i get home.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to do a quick check in. I just got done walking on the treadmill for 20:07 minutes, walked 1.03 miles, burned 131 regular calories and 40 fat calories. Tomorrow I think I will take a break from the cardio and do the bowflex.
