Default Exercising Early empty stomach vs later in the day

2 weeks into a restart of healthy diet and exercise for me after hitting an all time high on the scale.

I have started my exercise plan slow, 30 minutes on the treadmill the first 2 weeks, and have now began adding the elliptical (20 mins treadmill, 20 elliptical)

I have noticed that when I hit the gym afterwork, I am much more sluggish than I am if I workout first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. My performance is much better early in the day, but is I find I can get a bit dizzy afterwards.

I am looking for feedback on how others feel about early morning vs later workouts.

I think it is very individual. I feel best exercising in the late afternoon (4-6 pm) but the classes I like to take are in the morning.

After many many years of starting the day with a hearty breakfast, I have recently begun going to my 9:45 exercise classes fasting. To my surprise, I feel *better*, more energetic than I do if I eat breakfast first.

Unless you are diabetic with high morning blood sugars, I would just experiment to see what is most effective for you and what makes you feel best.
