Smile I'm introducing myself

Hi, I am new to this website/forum today. I actually just have one question which brought me to the site but decided to sign up and join.
Can anyone tell me...
Do flavored coffees have any carbs? I don't mean prepared coffees from starbucks or anything like that. I just mean - buying something like Maxwell house Hazelnut flavor and brewing it at home in a regular drip machine. Then adding just cream. Does that have carbs?
Thanks,
Anissa

Hello Annisa Welcome to the forum, sure hope you stick around!

According to www.fitday.com flavoured coffee made from ground, regular, has .7g per 6 fl oz (regular coffee unflavoured has .6g per 6 fl oz). FYI, 1 tbps cream has .6g carbs (1 cup = 6.6g)

Great, thanks a lot. So basicall - it's a freebie as far as carbs go (which is what I thought but was not sure).

No, I wouldnt say it's a freebie. 5 cups of coffee (cups are usually 8 - 10 oz) with just 1 tbsp of cream each would be approx 7 carbs, guestimating conservatively. Depends on what else you're eating and of course how much you have each day.

Oh, Nat, thanks so much for answering this--I wanted to ask it along time ago, but thought I'd get my knuckles rapped.

So, then, if I count the carbs, I can have my 'occasional' chocolate/macadamia coffee!! Yahoo!! You've made my night . I was getting real sick of flavored herbal teas.
