Default Atkins 1972

I went on Amazon and got a used copy of Dr. Atkins' original book. I have found it motivating and very helpful for maintenance especially for those times when I'm a few pounds over my ideal weight. I've read it several times. I like the reminders of the basic principles that helped us get to where we are now. Has anyone else read it recently?

I've never read the 1972 version. I'll have to be on the look out for it.

I paid full price for mine -- back in the 1970's! I haven't reread it for about eight years now. Atkins for Life has become my go-to during maintenance.

You know, after looking online I do have the copy with same title, but white cover here somewhere. Anyone know if there's any difference?

Agreed! It was VERY helpful in navigating the carb ladder. I actually like reading the different editions to see how he changed things over the years.

Mine is the Bantam soft-cover edition, white cover with a tiny picture of that cover. Mine is a later printing, probably about 1977. The price I paid, brand new, was $2.25. That's how much prices have changed!
