Hi Everybody,
I am definitely a triple digit club candidate. I am 5'9" tall and way in at 377 lbs. I definitely want to get started right away. I tend to get caught up in perfectionism and numbers. I was in Overeaters Anonymous for a while and did well. But that was 100+ lbs. ago. At this weight, I am not sure how many calories I need every day and I have no idea how to put together an Atkins plan. Can anyone suggest some ideas to get me started right away? At this weight, does anyone know an exercise DVD I can get that is easy enough for me to do every day? All suggestions and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default LC4Lifer...starting over daily...

Is this how I start a journal, by posting here to introduce myself as a low-tech LC4Lifer, a Luddite in search of enlightenment, mostly cruising/lurking to see WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, in case maybe I can apply that to my own LC effort? Might work for me too! If this is the starting gate, I'm here. If not, I'm lost.

Hi,

I have never kept a formal journal I read it comes up once a day so once I post then I can go back and enter? Not sure

Looks like it is a place to jot what you are doing, feeling, and whatever.

probably great to keep track like when I wrote down what I ate on Weight Watchers?

Posting in your journal here is just like posting on any of the threads on the various forums. You make a post, just like you did here. If you want to go back later and change what you said, add more to it, or remove part of it, you can do so. If you want to make more than one post in your journal in a single day, you can do that, too.

I wasn't sure if "Reply to Thread" was the way to start a journal - ??? But I guess the only way to find out is to try. My entry today: am happy and more important, hopeful, because I found this website.

Hi there nereid,

To start a journal, you need to go to the Journal/Bootcamp area and start a new thread. More info can be found here: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=160916
