That is an incredible story and you have much to be proud of!!! I'm grateful (as I'm sure everyone is) for the detailed graphs, menus and ideas in your story. I know it gets tedious sometimes to graph all that stuff day in and day out, but it sure is helpful when you look back on it. I'm having to start all over after quitting smoking and scrounging around for some motivation....THANKS for taking the time to post your story....you're an incredible inspiration!

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!!!!!!!

Great write up Dean - gotta love those graphs!

You need a pic of your belt collection, extra notches and all.

WOW! Well done. I love all the graphs - that's the way my mind works. But I thought I was a pedant! :-))

This bit you said was VERY INTERESTING:

"For me, my weight loss sure seems to come down to what my actual calorie deficit is. Low-carbing takes away my cravings and eating the same thing just makes it easy to not cheat or eat things that will mess me up".

I think this is SO true - and your graph (calorie deficent) shows how directly this works.

I've only just started inputting my details in FitDay - and it is amazing to see how when I aim for around 25g carb per day - then my calorie intake seems to be around 1,600 or so. Giving me a deficit of around 700 cals per day. It'll be interesting to see how this relates to my weight loss per week.

Before I did this I was NOT eating enough calories - around about 700 per day. Thus my diet stalled as my body went into starvation mode.

Hey guys! I've hit the 150 pound loss mark today (July 10th), so I updated my above story with a new weight loss graph and a new picture. I still have about 60 pounds to go, but I've been losing 10 plus pounds a month pretty consistently, so that shouldn't take too long!

Take care everyone! Oh, and thanks so much for all the kind words!!

I am astounded by your perserverance and ultimate success. My weight is dropping very slowly, so perhaps I should look at calories a little closer. Thought because it is mostly veggies protein it didn't matter. But getting discouraged when following plan so closely and not much of a loss. Thanks for your great inspiration and continued success on your journey.
