Hi and welcome. I think you answered your own question at the end there. Also, 40-50 g carbs/day is basically maintenance for a lot of us. The good news is that you're doing your body a world of good if you're only eating that amount of carbohydrate. The less-good news: if you want to lose weight, you probably have to get back to induction levels and follow the induction rules. If you haven't done so already, learn your staller foods and your trigger foods.
I noticed you mentioned being on Meloxicam for arthritis. I'd strongly encourage you to get off gluten. Completely. At least give it a good try, for at least a month. It's not as hard as it sounds once you learn what you can and can't eat at restaurants, and what grocery products you can and can't have. I filled my Meloxicam prescription and the bottle actually expired before I took even one.
