I like exercising in the morning but since Curves does not open at 5am I go in the evening (6pm) and that is a-ok with me. So anytime is the right time when you find the time

I much prefer to exercise first thing in the AM even though that means I've got to get out of bed at 4:30!! It's worth it though...I get to go through the whole day feeling great about myself and don't have to worry about how I'm going to fit it in when I've got so many other things to do in the evening.

Thats how I feel Georgia, and it gets to be a habit to be about the first thing I do - sometimes I have coffee or a shower first but I do best if it's almost the first thing I do. Even though it's very important to me, I'm likely to put it aside to do something else so doing it first thing is much safer.

I also like exercising before work. It clears my mind and makes me work even better... at least I think so. It calms my hyperactivity as well. I usually eat after at work, just no time before to eat, not with kids going to school and all

For me, it's all about consistency - my day can get unpredictable very quickly, so I rely on the fact that no matter what else happens I can exercise in the morning.

I just switched to going to CURVES in the a.m. and boy does it energize me - no more after work unless I can't make it in a.m. I definitely think Morning workouts are better - now.

Default Morning for me

My wife and I arise early anyway, and we're mentally if not physically tired when we get home, so we work out twice a week at 4:30 am.

We recently reconsidered that plan because the Slow Burn workout leaves us a bit tired all day, but we're sticking with it because it fits the rest of our lives.

I work a 3 shift system over six days and then get 4 days off, so I can't exercise at the same time each day. I have found that whatever time I exercise though, it's better on an empty stomach. I suppose if I'm on nights and go down to the gym when I get up, that would be the same as someone elses morning workout!

I find morning to be the best time to workout. It really jump-starts your metabolism and I feel have more energy for the rest of the day.

I feel the morning is the best time for me. If I dont do it then, I will probably find something to do that is not as important and then I run out of time. Also, it kick starts my day, and I feel full of energy!!!

cetacean,

You're SO lucky that DH watches the kids so you can go to the gym. My DH is the best, but when he gets home from a long days work and an hour and a half commute, he plays with the kids (4 mths and 32 mths), but no way would he survive if I left him alone with them

But while he is playing with them, I can usually slip down to the basement and do my workout. Not the same as the gym, but on days I can't make it to the gym, at least I have this option

I long for the day when I can leave my 2 kids with my DH

I like to work out in the mornings before the machines are all soggy with sweat, before it gets too hot cuz the gym isn't air conditioned, and before I'm too hungry. It also helps to just get it outta my way so I can go on with my day. I've also noticed that in the evenings the gym becomes more of a meat market atmosphere and that really makes me uncomfortable... I work out in the mornings when I have no makeup on and bed head hair! hahaha!~
