Congrats and stay with it! I'm 57 and this seems to be working for me. I lost about 14 pounds in the two week induction, but have now slowed to about 1/2 pounds a week. I keep daily eating and weight records, which helps me stay on track. It is a long journey, that's for sure.... and I haven't been able to go to more than about 30 carbs a day and still lose weight, so I have to stay vigilant. Finding great food to eat is key.
If you're excited about what you ARE eating, you won't get depressed about what you aren't eating.
