Also, keep an eye on the protein, seriously you should log what you are eating in a tracker like fitday.com.

I am doing something very similar, started at low 140's and used VLCHF (very low carb high fat) to lose back down to 130. I am at 134 right now, waiting for the wooosh.

But seriously, your body will merrily convert excess protein to sugars to fuel itself on a sugar-burning-metabolism because it's evil like that. Make sure you are keeping your protein lower, no more then 70-80 grams or so. Otherwise, you will stall out, zone of misery style.

And it is VERY EASY to over consume protein without even realizing it. I don't intend to worry about it when I start maintaining, but for weight loss, I am watching it like a hawk.

Quick update: I am still eating a high fat diet, but have scaled back on exercise. I am still making s.l.o.w. progress losing weight, and will not give up. I weigh myself most days, and am looking forward to fitting into an old little red dress soon!

I am stuck in Beijing Airport on a long stopover, and 2 hours to go before boarding.

I recall those early struggles with Atkins well.

Update:
1. Pretty much done menopause. Yass!
2. Quit drinking alcohol. I am out of hangover prison and never going back!
3. Eat Keto now - I have been Atkins/Keto for 5-1/2 years now.
4. I have lost 60 lb all up.
5. I had a skirmish with cancer and appear to be holding it at bay!!
6. I just finished walking 900 km across Spain on the Camino Frances. I am returning from this epic pilgrimage. I am grateful to be alive. 👣
7. Still learning, reading, listening and enjoying this low carb journey.
8. Got married 2013. Happy as!
