Default Any advice for a newbie?

I am meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow at a gym I've been trying to work out at. I am pretty heavy, so I don't want to injure myself by giving myself stress fractures and such, but want to gain lean mass and lose fat. Any recommendations for workout routines that I can try and adapt to my workouts?

If they have a pool, use it. It is so much easier on your joints.
