I am up .6 lbs today. Since I weighed on Mom's scale yesterday I am not sure if that weight was completely accurate, or if I just gained today or what, but it is what it is and I am up for the start of this game. sigh. But since I have been going down in micro amounts the past week, I am optimistic that I will continue the trend???

Yesterday my calories were good, in the 1100-some range. Today my menu is mainly my tuna slop (which I am addicted to) for lunch and dinner, plus my Tangy smoothies and the calories will be at 986, unless I decide to add something extra. i am having my coffee now and I will have 2 Tbl of cream with it.

My Stevia extract turned out well! When I got home yesterday, I strained it out and reduced it. It is a dark color. The stuff I alwasy purchased is clear. But since mine is natural, there is leaf color which Is a part of it (like strong tea!). I strained it 4 times through coffee filters to remove whatever particles were in the reduction, then bottled it in the amber containers from my previous purchased drops which I saved just for this purpose. I am using some in my coffee now and It is sweet. I should have rendered it down a little more as it is not as intensely sweet as the stuff I bought, and I had to use twice as much. But that is fine. It is STILL sweet and next year I am definitely growing more!!!!! The alcohol evaporated out and it has no alcohol flavor. I was careful not to let the leaves sit in the alcohol for too long as I read it will only become bitter. I am very proud of my home-made Stevia drops!!!!!!

CRICKY - I'm sorry to hear there is something wrong with your poor surgery area!!! I hope it is simply a suture that can be removed. If it isn't one thing it's another, eh? You poor thing.

Last night was the Super Moon. Did anyone get to go out and see it? I did and it was the weirdest looking thing. Not only was it the closest to Earth, but there was a full lunar eclipse and it was RED. So bizzarre!!!!! I have seen lunar eclipses before, but not when the moon was so close! It was amazing. If my camera was able to take night photos, I would have taken a picture.

Well, I hope we all have a better start to this game than I did. I am not worried about this gain. Like I said, it was probably just a scale difference. I bet if I was home yesterday my weight would have registered higher. Well, it is something to look forward to. I have become accustomed to bouncing up and down around the same weight. As long as it does not go over 216 again, I will be OK with it.

have a great Monday all!

P.S. EDIT: They had fresh cod fillets on sale today so I just bought some. My lunch today will be 7 oz fresh cod fillet with 2 Tbl mayo and a chopped up home-made pickle spear. My cals went down 18, so the day's total is 968. Carbs will be 10. I think I will have me a couple more cups of coffee/cream to bring the cals closer to 1000.

Sorry to hear about the complication Cricket, but hoping with you that its an explanation for the pain and its easily remedied and puts you back on the fast track to recovery without the pain.

Paulette I really hate using others' scales because it seems like its either false hope, or horrifying, depending on which way their scale varies from mine! but either way, its just a little blip, you will be back down in no time. I just gotta believe that your body is being stubborn and holding on to whatever it can for a last desperate attempt..... but its no match for your perseverance and will!

Same for you Chrissie-- you are doing it right, so "stable" just means the weight graph will have a level plateau to dive off of to a new low, right?

My little loss for today brings my total to 90 pounds lost in 9 months (plus 2 days). I am 10 pounds from a 100 pound loss, which I am shooting for by December 26th, which is my 1 year anniversary of re-starting this WOE (for the last and best time!) and I am 4 pounds from ONE-derland, which I hope to be in by Halloween. I hope to beat those timeframes but trying to give myself a realistic shot at it-- and if it takes longer well thats OK too as I WILL get there, and beyond.

NSV this weekend, we attended a farewell open house for a friends daughter who is leaving to serve a religious mission in Brazil for 18 months, and I had several people comment on my weight loss and "looking good". One young mom was curious as to what I was doing, as she has some weight struggles after her recent pregnancy (she is NOT obese in the least and barely overweight), so we talked about Atkins and LCHF in general-- also talked with another friend who is a law enforcement officer, and looks fit to me, but who feels like she is gaining with age, and she wants a link to this forum's P.L.A.N. feature (which I use). When I mentioned I was aiming to lose at least another 50 pounds she thought based on how I was looking now that wasnt possible-- OH I assured her, its not only possible, its happening!

Soooo, a nice boost to my confidence, and also reassurance that I AM making progress, even though I cant always see it and usually still feel big and awkward when I look in the mirror.

Oh PAULETTIE~~~You will see the drop again soon. YOU HAVE TO or the orbits are backwards. We couldn't see the luna eclipse due to cloudy conditions. We ketpy looking and were so disappointed. Happy you got a view I HAVE GOT TO FIND stenvia seeds. I suck at on line stuff and have no accounts but will figure it out.

I am with Paulette.. am bloated and swollen still and up one pound. NO MORE RINDS FOR ME. actually I WILL have them with the tuna and not upset at the numbers. The Whooshie fairy will find me. I am in solid strong ketosis and that alone is a big deal for me. So, TUNA again!...YES< I am on KEFLEX AGAIN. I pee antibiotics and steroids by now. In normal people the inner sutures are absorbed but I have alsways rejected them..my body goes POOEY and spits them out.I knew I felt one trying to get out and even saw it and could feel it on the sirface..so, long sotry short, another surgeon saw me,( what a great guy..even nicer than my guy) and grabbed what was showing BUT said he thought there might be a knot beloe the skin abd could not be cerrtain if it as that or scar..so, yes there was a starting infection and here we go.I have eyes to do on the 7th so I have got to be cleared with this stuff.

CHRISSIE>>> if you get tired of that ride, you are welcome to help us push but I think your place is better!LOL

HIMI.. it is great to have others notice, and you will make goal and it may be sooner or later but that does not matter.. it is coming off! How about tellling your friend about the team?
Atually your best advice might be to have her get the book and read. The problem with these sites is that there are too many people that have witch doctors instead of Dr Atkins'..so many odd twists on his plan.AGAIN, great going!!!

Hey Y'all,
A little late posting, sorry. Power has been out since 8 this morning. Evidently someone hit a pole so our whole neighborhood was out. Down 0.4 which I'm happy about, as long as the direction is down. Not a whole lot going on did what I could around the house without power, washed windows, dusted, swept, folded clothes, changed the bedsheets out and washed the car windows. House is sparkly and smells good.

Did my monthly figures for measurements, weight, and the next size down blue jean (non-stretchy) shorts. They are size 22's. I have lost 15.5", and 16lbs total. The size 22's, at the beginning of the month, I struggled to get over my hips and once I did the hole and the button were 14" apart. Now I pull them up easily and the hole and button are 8" apart. I think it is really important to have something else to show positive results, because we all know the scales can be dastardly. So far, the scale has done all right, but the measurements keeps my emotions under control, when the scale goes up or doesn't change. I do know eventually I will slow way down (third go around with LC in 20 years) but I think I'm more prepared for that eventuality now.

Cricket: I'm glad they figured out what the problem is. Praying you'll be free of infection so you can get your eyes done. Sorry your weight is back up hopefully the scale will play pretty soon.

Chrissie: Sorry about no change. Hopefully soon you'll see downward motion.

Paulette: Sorry you are up...but having weighed on two different scales I think you should just see what you are tomorrow. Perfect example, my insurance co. sent a nurse to my home. They do this once a year just for a check up. She brought her own scales, when I weighed on hers I was showing 5 lbs heavier than what mine showed that morning weighing nekkid I brought mine in the kitchen, set it down beside hers (exact same type of digital scale, mine was just newer) and sure enough mine showed 3.5 lbs lighter wearing identical clothes. So point is, just keep to your scale, because all scales are different.

Himi: What a wonderful testament to your journey. Amazing to think you are down 90lbs in 9 months and so close to 100 lbs down. I am praying I have the same fortitude and in a year from July 11 th I can say the same! And isn't wonderful for people to notice your hard work? Right now I just have the Kudos of my hubby, family, and my doctors. Probably there won't be anything else noticed until we visit home in November. I haven't told anyone besides family, my doctor, and one close friend. I am looking forward to that time.
I have to watch Once upon a Time by myself, no one else in the family likes it. Oh well.

Barb: I hope you made it safely to Myrtle Beach. Weather isn't cooperating much.

Kathy: Hope your trip to Tulsa turned out well and your back safe soon!

Gonna watch The Voice tonight and dvr other shows I like. Fortunately, all of us like The Voice. Hope everyone has a good evening and the Good Fairy Scale sends Whooshies your way.

HOWDIE backatch TAM OF course you will have that fortitude and WILL succeed. You are a member of a very motivated and successful tam where we do naccept anything other than BEING HERE and continued plan following! SO, get that doubt scrubbed right away!!! Have to ask what "hole" between the legs you are talking about?? between your thighs?? Lucky you to record that stuff and see them all. Around here I am happy when 3 stations come in since they all have the same shows on each network.. we have multiples of the same networks under different identities..CBS is 4.1 and 2 others...tonight is I think Big Bang Theory...I just leave it in that station. It come is and I am happy. I do wathc the voice from time to time. Not the fairy tales one though.

Had HB egg for breakfast. not sure about dinner. I think it will be just a frozen protein shake.Seeds of course and I did have 15 cas and 2 carbs in a sf ic pop.One serving of seeds or less.

I had valium and ibuphfen and will repeat that tonight with the ABT..ugh.

HIMI - congrats on yet another loss for you and being at the 90 lb mark!!! Did I meention that I am supremely jealous of you and your quick weight loss? Well, I am!

TAM - congrats to you, too on your loss!! And those shorts will suddenly be too big. Before you even know it!

CRICKET - yes, you & I. I hope YOU can see a loss in the am!!!! I sure am hoping for one but my losses are fricking snail like lately. GIANT SIGH!!!!! I truly don't get it!

CHRISSIE - have fun in the Mabel Go Round! That is so funny! I think that you & I are so overdue for a loss! I will wish extra hard for us. and CRICKET too!!!!

Well, today I was so super busy and never had a chance to eat dinner. I had my cod for lunch (fresh is SO much better than frozen!!! ) and I had an almond milk smoothie right after that, but I JUST finished my job and it is so late that I simply grabbed 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and that is it. So my cals are super low today. Only 639!!!!!!! I hate to eat so late! but I was so busy and completely worked through dinner, not even realizing how late it was getting! Funny, but I am not hungry either.... strange. I may just make a couple cups of coffee/cream to get a few fat calories in there!!!! I don't want to go to bed full of food, and I got up so early that I will be going to bed in an hour! Of course it will be decaf...

I BETTER show a flipping loss in the am!!!!!!

TAM...OY VAIS! I did not see the BUTTON in that sentence..OY.Blame it is skimming. Now aside from that, you are one raging cleaning machine.. wanna come here?? LOL

OK ladies.. ready for latest DR'S show info??? Well, It seems that DUSY has been linked to being FAT. YEP and not kidding. Seems that since most dust is made from our ooky cells, there is a lt of protein there.. that dust reacts in out bodies and causes weitght slowdown..YEP... guess I had beeter duct more..oh they said to be sure to have heppa filters. My vacs came with them but frankly, other than emptying the canasters, they are original stuff.

I opted out of the shake for my dinner.Instead having double eggcream.no carbs or proteins or calories other than the HC I added. I had a chicken leg for lunch and my tummy rebelled.

Tomorrow I have to boil eggs for Jodi and myself. How exciting..also need to cook up the bacon I thawed last week!

GOTTA say nighty nite.. oh and THANK you team for doing the quote thingy. THe charts look so nice! I will be sure to do different stuff for new charts
