FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!.....NASA (and US!)

IT IS NOT THE HAND YOU WERE DEALT BUT THE WAY YOU PLAY THAT HAND THAT COUNTS!

Hey Y'all,
A little late posting, sorry. Power has been out since 8 this morning. Evidently someone hit a pole so our whole neighborhood was out. Down 0.4 which I'm happy about, as long as the direction is down. Not a whole lot going on did what I could around the house without power, washed windows, dusted, swept, folded clothes, changed the bedsheets out and washed the car windows. House is sparkly and smells good.
Did my monthly figures for measurements, weight, and the next size down blue jean (non-stretchy) shorts. They are size 22's. I have lost 15.5", and 16lbs total. The size 22's, at the beginning of the month, I struggled to get over my hips and once I did the hole and the button were 14" apart. Now I pull them up easily and the hole and button are 8" apart. I think it is really important to have something else to show positive results, because we all know the scales can be dastardly. So far, the scale has done all right, but the measurements keeps my emotions under control, when the scale goes up or doesn't change. I do know eventually I will slow way down (third go around with LC in 20 years) but I think I'm more prepared for that eventuality now.
Cricket: I'm glad they figured out what the problem is. Praying you'll be free of infection so you can get your eyes done. Sorry your weight is back up hopefully the scale will play pretty soon.
Chrissie: Sorry about no change. Hopefully soon you'll see downward motion.
Paulette: Sorry you are up...but having weighed on two different scales I think you should just see what you are tomorrow. Perfect example, my insurance co. sent a nurse to my home. They do this once a year just for a check up. She brought her own scales, when I weighed on hers I was showing 5 lbs heavier than what mine showed that morning weighing nekkid I brought mine in the kitchen, set it down beside hers (exact same type of digital scale, mine was just newer) and sure enough mine showed 3.5 lbs lighter wearing identical clothes. So point is, just keep to your scale, because all scales are different.
Himi: What a wonderful testament to your journey. Amazing to think you are down 90lbs in 9 months and so close to 100 lbs down. I am praying I have the same fortitude and in a year from July 11 th I can say the same! And isn't wonderful for people to notice your hard work? Right now I just have the Kudos of my hubby, family, and my doctors. Probably there won't be anything else noticed until we visit home in November. I haven't told anyone besides family, my doctor, and one close friend. I am looking forward to that time.
I have to watch Once upon a Time by myself, no one else in the family likes it. Oh well.
Barb: I hope you made it safely to Myrtle Beach. Weather isn't cooperating much.
Kathy: Hope your trip to Tulsa turned out well and your back safe soon!
Gonna watch The Voice tonight and dvr other shows I like. Fortunately, all of us like The Voice. Hope everyone has a good evening and the Good Fairy Scale sends Whooshies your way.
