Nothing new to report here since being back. I would like to start a routine, but first I want to get going with the eating. I'll check back in here soon and start up again.
I set a goal with my flybaby group that I am going to get 20 minutes of movement a day. If I say exercise I will freak myself out and not get started. But 20 minutes of movement... that can be gardening, playing backyard volleyball, walking flea markets, etc. I am not really looking at heartrate or even fat burning right now. Just movement.
Today... I had 30 minutes to buy groceries for 2 weeks. I am counting it as my movement. I was much more of a workout than I would have gotten just walking pushing that big ole cart with potting soil and pepsi on the bottom.
Alrighty, since getting the treadmill, I walked Tuesday, Wednesday for 30ish minutes. I only walked 20 minutes on Thursday but I also deep cleaned the house too.
No time to walk on Monday or Wednesday. I don't know why I didn't walk on Tuesday... laziness I guess.
Walked 30 minutes yesterday.
Today: 30 minutes on treadmill and I added in 15 minutes of weights. Mostly light (2 pounds) high rep arms - bicep curls, flys, shoulder presses.
Saturday - 30 minutes on treadmill
Sunday- 15 minute hike up and down a nice hill, 10 minutes of general walking
Monday - 30 minutes on treadmill, upper body rotation, 30 squats
12 minutes on treadmill, ab work. Plus we walked all over my son's camp, holding a 25 lb. baby for weights. I think I made up for the 18 minutes I missed on the treadmill.
I did go back out and golf last night until it was too dark to see the balls. I think I've figured out the upper body part of my exercise routine as I hurt from neck to butt today. Even my hands hurt from gripping the clubs. My shoulders are the worst, and it's that deep muscle burn that tells you your muscles got a real work out. I like that feeling. I want shoulders like Pammie's.
An interesting note on my golfing.... these really malicious weeds have popped up in our field in the past few days. DH will mow a small "tee box" for me to hit from, but I still have to walk out into the biting, clinging weeds to find my wiffle balls. Apparently the golf gods are not smiling down on me.
