I've heard that Inositol works well too - and one in particular called D-Chiro Inositol works even better for women with PCOS. I also read that it is found naturally in buckwheat (not sure what that will do to your carb count though) and you can use it to make porridge or pancakes (and probably add it to bread etc.)
