Default Just for today

I begun my LC journey 5 weeks ago. Being a T2 diabetic and my focus had been on eating " healthy and wholesome " foods for years. With meds and exercise I have had excellent success at keeping my a1c around 5.8 and basically going along.
What triggered for me a need to improve and re-self-educate is the fact I know that the meds have side effects and the Medical establish ( at least the group I have access to) are very brainwashed negatively about possible healing and even reversing a diabetic T2 once they get diagnosed.
I came across the books "wheat belly and grain brain". Wow, talk about eye-opening ! So for the last 5 weeks I have committed myself to a basically LCHF ,modified Atkins woe for myself.
Now, here is the turtle factor So far, my mood have improved dramatically, the cravings and compulsion for eating carbs have gone into remission, my libido has returned and my pants have gone down 2 sizes. BUT, the scale hasn't budged ! I tell myself in time it will, but still there is that impatient part of me who demands the "numbers" show the feedback of success. Talk about impatient !
I am posting to share and hopefully hear from others about their journey.
Together we can do what we cannot do alone.

Phil

I know; my scale's barely budging either, but lots of other good changes are happening. Give it time, and keep doing the next right thing. We'll get there.

Your body is also repairing itself as you loose. Fat is being replaced by healthy tissue in your liver, muscles are getting stronger, maybe your scale "lies" to you... Go with the 2 pant size loss and improved mood and outlook- they are true measures that you are on the right path.
