Just, 5 lbs in 7 days is great - don't be so hard on yourself! The goal of LC is permanent sustained fat loss - you need to let your body lose the fat at a rate that it can handle safely. You also need to allow yourself the time to learn new behaviours; you must be able to keep eating this way for the rest of your life to keep the fat off.

Keep up what you're doing and possibly drink more water - dark purple on those stix is usually a sign of dehydration - something you want to avoid. Water is what flushes out your body and keeps you hydrated - more water equals greater fat loss.

Hang in there and let this WOE work for you - and remember that when you lose fat your body needs time to readjust to your new size - fat cells are nortiously resistant to shrinking, it is the water that gets them to cooperate. Also, keep in mind that 2 lbs of fat lost a week is the maximum safe amount for women - anything more is usually an indication of muscle or water loss.

HTH,
Nat

Hi Justme. You really should measure yourself. You can loose inches but it may not show up on the scale. Measure everything. Chest, waist, hips, thighs, calves and arms. And then remeasure once a week. Let me know if you see a loss in inches.

Good luck,

cimart
