Default Back on Atkins (for good) - 13 lbs lost in 2 weeks so far!

Hi everyone!

So, a little about me... I'm a 22 year old female from Sydney.

Throughout the majority of my teens I was a constant 165lbs (75kgs), and being quite tall I was always very content with my weight and bodyshape. In 2012 however, sh*t hit the fan. I lost both of my parents very suddenly in the same day, comfort eating kicked in and before I knew it I had gained over 60lbs (30 kgs) in the space of 6 months. After leaving the long term relationship I was in earlier this year, I've finally found the strength and determination to start looking after myself again. I've been on Atkins (again) for just under 2 weeks now, and combined with frequent exercise I've already managed to get rid of 6kgs (or about 13 lbs). This time I'm going to stick to it though!

Looking forward to meeting everyone here, and hopefully learning a lot from you all so I can (hopefully) make this a permanent lifestyle switch.

Xx

Hi there, and welcome to another Aussie!

Let me say how very sorry I am to hear about your parents.

And well done on losing those first 6 kilos, and I'm sure this is the start of a healthy low carb lifetime for you.

Hi,

Welcome, you have done amazingly!!

I want to say I'm so sorry about your parents too! I lost my father at 31 very unexpectedly, and I am still in shock now, and have just turned 39!

I am also losing the weight I gained then.

Hugs to you. Come post in my gym journal if you ever want to chat. I need to start a completely new journal too, and don't have one at the moment.

You can do this!!
