Is Bazmatti rice a good rice or on the off-limits list?

That's really wishful thinking cgar, but nice try! To my knowledge, there is no rice that is "on-limits" with Atkins. Maybe the rare bowl of brown on maintenance or the latter stages of OWL, but that's it.

Have you had a chance to look at Low Carb Tools at the top of the page yet? There's a great carb counter there.

I wasn't trying anything, really. I'm just a newbie trying to clear to carbs out of the pantry. I had a five pound bag that has maybe a pound left. No problem, I can find it a new home.
