Default Hi There

Hi, I'm very new here (just signed up) and relatively new to this LCHF/Keto thing. Not even sure what I'm doing. To keep it simple, I've eliminated all of the obvious carbs (bread/pasta/sugar) and mostly eat eggs, cheese, meat and veggies. I know I don't understand macros, and I don't really understand ketosis and I know that eating high fat (although I'm not sure how much is enough or too much) goes against everything I've been taught, but dieting in the conventional way for the last 35 years has not helped me reach my goals so I'm going to give this a shot. Any advice, links, suggestions, etc are more than welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you

The best advice I can possibly give you is to choose an actual plan, and stick closely to it for a couple of months at least. You'll find that the folk here who've had most success are the ones who've done that. You can find an overview of various plans here: http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-and-low-carb-plans/

I'd suggest you stay right here for now, because this place is bulging with information. You can start by going to Tips (found on the top green menu bar). It's also a good idea to start a journal here. People will pop in with advice and friendship.

You are welcome and as Roz mentioned this site is fantastic as well. It's a little old fashion, but so am I. I don't think you'll be able to find the same community aspect as here on the DD site so use both
