Today I broke a 40 hour fast at the local Golden Corral breakfast buffet

I figure I ate about 5 eggs, (about 3 scrambled and 2 over easy), 10 sausage links, 4 strips of bacon and a quarter cup of pico de gallo with 2 cups of coffee.

Sausage, 4 egg, onion, cheese, pepper, tomato, chili paste thing.

I think I'm going to start a thread documenting an experiment I'm going to do with changing meal timing from generally one meal a day in the evening to one meal a day in the mornings. I think the plan will be, like many monks in the some Buddhist communities, to take nourishment between dawn and noon.

As I still unfortunately have to work once and a while for a living and my hours are early in the morning when I do, I will not be able to abide by the "dawn" thing. I will eat "after I wake until noon" - something like that.

I have not taken lunch to work for probably near a year so that may change. I don't think I'd be able to consume a days worth of calories in my first meal of the day, maybe I'm wrong about that tho as I had this thing mentioned above this morning...

Breakfast used to be my favorite meal of the day, it was always a toasted bagel, sometime with cream cheese, sometimes just butter, and orange or a huge slice of cantaloupe, and yogurt, often with 2 tbsp of granola cereal in it.

NOW, it is always 3 slices of crispy bacon, 2 eggs fried, sometime 1/2 oz of cheese, sometimes a legal flax muffin, told ya I was boring. lol. ttyl

Nice to see you are still lurking around Thud, miss ya

I loved those breakfast sandwiches so much I am doing another week of them... 2 fried eggs as "bread", with sausage pattie and thin slice of cheddar in the middle - holds me til I get home.
