Default Newbie and need help

Hi. I started a low carb diet 1/1/16. I can't seem to hit the 20 lb lost mark. I have been lingering with 17-19 pound lost. It's so frustrating. What am I doing wrong? I am 5`2 and now weigh 246. I think at my weight I should be losing it faster in the beginning. Any help is appreciated

Welcome SusieQ

No weight loss around week three and four is so common, it has its own name Post Induction Stall Syndrome or piss. Know that a lot is going on inside rebalancing fat cells, etc, weight loss patterns explained here: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=365499

We would need some details on what you are eating to offer any advice. Not that you are stalled! Congrats on losing 19 pounds! There is a Tips and Stalls sub-forum, you could review the ideas here to see if any apply. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=460202
If you are using any Atkins products like bars and shakes, dropping those and only eating real food may help.

All the best,

LOL - I started on 01Jan16 also, and am down 11. Focus on slow and steady, and that you're DOWN!! Do not get discouraged, or feel it isn't working fast enough. You lose how you lose. Congratulations on your success so far, and keep it up!!
