[Hello Irisda,

I really enjoyed your story in your other post abotu the chocolate bar in the vicinity...that was me too! Not I eat one of the hershey's miniatures (sugar free, of course) after lunch and one after dinner. It really helps with my though pattern. I could skip it too becaseu I am not hungry. I started about 4 weeks ago...I just joined this forum today...I'm kind of stalling out with the weight loss...I'm wondering if it's just becasue I'm exercising more. I noticed that you said you lost 8 lbs but your beginning weight and now weight is much different than that...do you have a secret for losing your weight? I'm begging for tips only becasue my body loves to figure out that I'm on diets and switch gears and make me gain more weight. Looking forward to talking with you.

hello all, i'm new here! on my 3rd day of atkins, just bought the ketostix. felt quite nervous when i tested for the first time, but it came out nicely purple.

was going to ask if there were false positives, and how that would be caused, but got my answer from one of the threads whilst randomly digging around

i do some form of exercise every day - either go to the gym, or a step class.

ok that's enough from me for now. nice to meet you guys!

Thanks, but I don't see any links to "start a new thread". Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. I (obviously) can see how to reply to a current thread, but don't see any place to start one.

Not that I have anything earth shaking to post! LOL. But would like to know how!

Default Very Grateful to have found this forum...

It's GREAT to be here! It took me 50 years to find out
I was going in the wrong direction food wise.

I didn't even know about low carbing until Mr. Atkins
passed away. That's how I found out about it and I
began that same day. It's been everything he claimed
and much more! So far 9 lbs in 12 days.

This forum is an absolute Godsend!

Gratefully,
Thomas

Default G'morning!

I started this on March 31st, but I hadn't bought the book yet. So I was kind of free styling it in the beginning from what I understood of it all. THEN I got my book (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution) in the mail last Friday, started reading it from chapter 1 and have JUST started the induction chapter. There is so much more to it then I knew! WOW! It's great tho, and while I've lost 12 lbs (I need to update my profile), I wanted to be like everyone else that lost TWENTY lbs! lol So, I'm going to start over and follow the induction according to the book, and we'll see what happens! I love that this forum is here! I hate talking about it to people I know because they see all the tries and fails and I feel like they must think, "here she goes again..." *sigh* I'm glad you're all here!

Default Two months and counting.........

Hi everyone, I am new to the low carb way of eating myself. Started two months ago after finding out I was type 2 diabetic last May. Low fat eating did NOTHING to address my diabetes and so far I find my numbers have improved overall since I started an "Atkins-like" plan two months ago. My big problem is motivation to exercise! Does housework count:-)??? Or gardening??

hi,

i found you guys by surfing on google.

i have been on atkins for 8 weeks and lost 17 lbs.

the best thing however, is my energy level.

and i had high blood pressure.......it is back to normal now.

i hope to learn a lot from you all.

and by the way.........i always count housekeeping as exercise.
it makes you sweat ..........doesnt it???

talk to you later.........time to snooze,
purr

Question Thanks for the tips - need help

Hi - I just wanted to say thanks for posting tips. I'm new here & I think I screwed up - not on the diet, but just trying to figure this site out. Just call me donkey. I probobly shoulda read up a little bit more before trying to start a journal. I went to find my username & ended up seeing a post of someone who is doing real well & replied. Well now my journal starts out with that post. I tried to delete it but it wouldn't let me. Do you or anybody know how I can fix it???

hi there,

I just happened to see your post here ... so I've removed the one you made by mistake in the journal area. I've also removed the link from your profile, so you can now start a new thread as your proper journal.

Members aren't able to delete their posts, sorry, but may edit for up to 24 hrs ... except your own journal, which you may edit your own posts indefinitely.

Note - any time you need assistance with a post, you can always ask for help in the Comments Box/Technical Questions forum, or click on "report this post to moderator" which is at the bottom of every single message.

Glad to help, and happy journalling

Doreen
