Default Not losing weight but am I on the right track?

Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I've been on a low carb diet just 4 days. I need to lose 17-20 pounds. I don't think I'm losing anything.
I'm getting a bit confused with info. I just read the '72 Atkins forum here which for induction veges just has green salad - like lettuce. The New Atkins for You book allows other veges. I've been eating:
2 eggs with bacon or green salad for breakfast
tuna or egg, salad and avocado (1/2) for lunch,
broccoli, asparagus or cauliflower, and a few button mushrooms for evening meal (with steak or chicken).
Using canola oil for cooking but switched to butter this evening.
I have a few cups of coffee a day with cream.
I have been doing average of 30 minutes exercise a day - I feel good for that. It's mostly walking or dancing.
I'm on beta blockers but have cut down to half the dose (with my doctors permission), and am on the lowest possible dose of 23.5 mg daily.
I'm drinking lots of water. apart from feeling healthier (and I am enjoying that) I don't seem to have lost any weight. Is this normal?

Hi Cando (love that username - so positive!!) welcome to the board

Your food choices sound fine to me so just keep on as you are doing and I am sure you will soon see results.
Have you measured yourself so you will be able to see how your body shape changes? Often low carbers lose inches with little or no scales movement.

Welcome cando
You are the right track. The New Atkins edition 2010 is a helpful book, written by three prominent LC scientists, with all the stages and options needed by the general public. At 5’7", You don't have much weight to lose, rather than worry about those lying scales, consider checking your progress will some currently tight clothes. The only change I could suggest to foods you have already done...ditch the processed seed oils like canola for a natural fat like olive, butter, avocado, etc.
All the best,

Thanks guys. To Elizellen - really appreciate your affirmative attitude. I haven't dieted before so I didn't think to get a tape measure. So haven't measured myself. I keep telling myself my legs look thinner but I dunno....
Jey100 - my height is wrong on here. I'm 5ft8. I put in cms but it's wrong. I have 17-20 pounds to lose. My old clothes don't fit and I was starting to have a tight fit in my new ones. My doctor checked my BMI and weighed me and I am overweight. Probably from bad eating and beta blockers. Fortunately this low carb diet has food I like!
Thanks for the encouragement guys.
