Default Jeans!!!

Today I am wearing a pair of jeans I bought a year ago. I bought them based on the waste size of the khakis I normally wear. My khakis have the "comfort fit waste" which allows them to expand to fit more loosely. I bought jeans in the same waist size and could not even come close to fastening them around my waist. I realized that even if I could get them fastened I would not be able to wear them for any amount of time comfortably. I disgustedly threw them in my bottom drawer and figured I would end up tossing them with old clothes the next time I cleaned out my closet.

Today I had a good weigh in and was looking in my dresser for a pair of sweats for my walk. I saw the jeans and on a whim I put them on. Not only do they fit but they fit fairly comfortably. I might wear them for a week just because I can.

To a lot of you that are further along this might seem like small potatoes but for me it is a pretty big deal.

I think it is a big deal! Yay for you. I think these moments that make us feel good about ourselves and confirm that we are on the right path should be celebrated. Balloons and confetti to you!

Great to hear Cicero. Yes I think that is one of the diet milestones that keeps us going, the pants that fit again -- or even get too loose!

Congrats! And I know what you mean. I started LC when my "fat jeans" got too tight. Because of my body type and that I am short..I'm stuck wearing a particular brand and they cost $50 or $30 on sale. I wasn't about to buy an even fatter pair. So I mostly wore Adidas pants for about a year. After a few weeks on LC they fit again!

Thansk guys. I really relish the little victories. The times I failed on this plan were when I was focused only on reaching my goal weight instead of focusing on better health overall.

I did take a LOT of pleasure this week in answering all the questions from my family about how I had lost so much weight at Thanksgiving. It made the stuffing and pie very easy to pass on.
