I grew up near Winnipeg. Don't live in Manitoba anymore, though.

Have you heard of De Luca's? We used to get sugar-free, grain-free sausage at their deli. We like it so much, my Mum bought a bunch on a recent trip to Manitoba, froze it, and flew it home with her. I think they'll even make up a batch for you without whatever it is you'd like to avoid. Just beware of their restaurant--lot's of pasta.
