Default 30 lbs and 4 waist sizes in 3 months

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share my recent success on Atkins with you. I started on August 19th at 6'3', 240 lbs. and a 40 to 41 waist.

Today it is November 25th. I'm consistently at 207-210 on the scale and the scale is still moving south. I just got back from Target to by new jeans. I am wearing a 36 waist as I type this - haven't been in a 36 since I left the Air Force in 2003.

You will lose weight eating this way. My next goal is 200!

ColetteC, I am also a slow loser, but it's steady enough to keep me on track. It will probably be another year before I go above <20g per day. But this woe suits me so well, it isn't a chore!

Smile Good to know there are others like me.

Caroxx - thank you - I now know that I am not alone and there are others like me, I am enjoying it and it's become a lifestyle change.

Just an update - Today is February 18th, 2014. My weight this morning is 193.8 lbs.

Total weight loss: 46.2 lbs in six months. I am going to keep eating like this, and working out, and expect to lose even more. At this point I'm just wondering what a healthy stopping point is? I am afraid of going back to carbs and sugar (and don't really have any desire to) but I'm thinking if I lose another 20 lbs that could be a bit much at ~175.
